HAVE A TERRIFIC TUESDAY... ¿Te parece que te estoy deseando un martes terrorífico? Pues no, el significado de TERRIFIC es GENIAL. Es uno de los STRONG ADJETIVES más usados y uno de los que más nos cuestan a los españoles por su condición de false friend.
Los adjetivos extremos son adjetivos que llevan implícito en su significado la idea de muy o extremadamente. En castellano también los tenemos. Podemos decir La casa era muy grande (it was a very big house) o La casa era enorme (it was an enormous house).
Si queremos que nuestro inglés, tanto hablado como escrito, suene más natural debemos acostumbrarnos a usar más este tipo de adjetivos y usar menos "very + base adjetive (adjetivo normal).
